Will be merging the “techdump” blog into this one in order to reduce the administration tasks (backend patches + updates + backups) that need to be maintained for that underutilized site since the volume of postings I was expecting to do there, didn’t really materialize.
It originally was meant for streaming related tech/tutorials, but I’ve been spending less time in that area (due to issues I have with Twitch + self de-platforming goals + changed priorities/interests).
Timeframe is towards the end of this month or in May (and then decommission the techdump subdomain by June). ActivityPub (Fediverse) functionality will be enabled after completing the following; this will serve as an alternative contact method since I plan to leave Discord as well once my Nitro sub expires later in the year.
I’ve been dumping out geopolitical snark/rants recently (just to get all of that out of my system) but plan to reign that in soon™. The way I plan to manage that going forward is by adding short updates into previous (related) postings. I felt a need to at least post about those topics (given the global impact) to have something on it for reference on the economic side (for the following). But I have no desire to continue that level of posting (not my favorite thing to write about).
I plan to focus mainly on some of the market/economic/investing related material (it’s what is most heavily trafficked), maybe some of the life/motivational subject matter, some general tech related info, numismatics (am getting back into this old hobby that I had put aside decades ago), and maybe the occasional music topic.
