Another failing of the mainstream media for not calling this out for what it is, EXTORTION (absolutely no reported push back by CNBC and other media outlets reporting on this).
POTUS suggesting companies not to seek tariff refunds since he’ll “remember” the ones who do; he characterized the American companies that are pursuing refunds as the “enemy.”
Companies like Amazon, Apple, and Walmart have yet to file for refunds likely to avoid his ire (since they’ve both “kissed the ring and bent the knee” in the past. And that would be the definition of extortion (his continual threatening of tariffs against countries also would fall under this racketeering). Other companies like Costco did not play that game, and have sued the U.S. government to preserve their ability to secure tariffs refunds as quickly as possible.
Basically, this is not surprising since he has long acted like a mob boss (this article highlighted just some of the corrupt abuse of power from January 2025-August 2025). The reason why I’ve been on this month-long tirade (longer than I cared to cover this stuff) is to have this at least partially documented along with the geopolitics happening in the Middle East.
