Remember, the Moron in Chief declared “we’ve won” (this war) many times now. We’ve won so many times that we need to send even more troops to the region. We’ve won so hard that the Strait of Hormuz is mostly closed except for the ones paying the toll and approved by the IRGC. We’ve won so bigly that we needed to add our own blockade of the strait.

Anyone with a functioning brain will be able to discern that this makes no logical sense, that if there were an actual functional Congress that didn’t have a bunch of nonfunctional politicians in the Republican majority, they could end this nonsense right away.

Billions of taxpayer dollars are being wasted on this war he started in conjunction with Israel (and trying to blame Iran entirely on) versus helping actual American’s like this idiot said he would, that many dumbass American’s believed when they voted for him (I didn’t).

Any other sane democracy would remove their leader for lying this much and causing global economic damage. But not the U.S., the so called self-described and now very DELUSIONAL claim of being the “greatest country in the world”. Like every other piece of decades long propaganda imposed on its citizens, this is just another grand lie for those haven’t yet done so, to UNLEARN and call out.

This isn’t me being disloyal and unpatriotic. That again is propaganda fed to us by the government. This is me calling out the real treasonous traitors that are committing acts of terrorism who are now running the United States and not fulfilling their oath of office.

Added to this chaos, the president is feuding with the Pope while the equally idiotic vice president is trying to school the Pope on theology. You cannot make this stuff up. And the long braindead FOX News watching boomer crowd actually believes this gaslighting. I feel sorry for those whose parents are so far gone down the stupid hole where they can no longer have any sort of relationship with them.

I’m not even religious, but I’m siding with Pope Leo on this one because he’s the one speaking truth to power compared to the “leaders of the so-called free world” that constantly lie.

This American regime fails to understand their opposition in Iran to the point where it’s going to end up backfiring big time on the U.S. (and Israel for what they’ve been doing).

While protests in Japan seem rare, they do happen. Some in smaller numbers while others that are much larger. Protests regarding the U.S. military base in Okinawa has been an ongoing thing, the Narita airport protests by farmers who objected to having to give up/sell their ancestral lands for the runway constructions has been ongoing since 1966 (the Sanrizuka Struggle 三里塚闘争), while the anti-nuclear power ones drew considerable sized crowds after the 2011 triple disaster (earthquake, tsunami, and Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant meltdown).

Recently, protests have broke out (especially in Tokyo) against Prime Minister Takaichi’s remarks about using military force in Taiwan should a blockade by China take place (the protests were about the prime minister taking a pro-war stance which would also bring the country into wider conflict with China). Back in November 2025, several hundred protested in Okinawa.

Non self-defense military action is a very highly charged/sensitive topic issue in Japan given its past militarism which included war crimes across Asia. After Japan surrendered in 1945, its pacifist constitution (written in part by the United States) allowed for an armed forces that was in self-defense only. I have my own personal opinions on this because of the geopolitical realignment that is most likely going to happen (resulting from the U.S. becoming this unreliable partner where more countries are simply making their own partnerships with BRICS countries including China).

Japan’s constitution means it is heavily reliant on the U.S. for military support beyond that self-defense role. And that is a problem which isn’t easily solved unless Japan changes its constitution. That itself is full of potential issues because you need very competent and principled politicians to insure that the country will not go off into an uncontrolled offensively capable military. At the same time, Japan’s ability to self-govern itself completely in this rapidly changing world/geopolitics, represents a conundrum.

In March, additional protests took place in Tokyo to protest Takaichi’s visit to the United State to meet with the POTUS. The most recent protests have happened after the war in Iran escalated with 24,000 railing against the war and then just last week, 30,000 rallying outside the National Diet Building; besides the anti-war angle, both also were in protest of Takaichi’s February remarks about revising the Constitution (Article 9) which could allow the country to build up an offensive capable military.

With the ongoing blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, Takaichi has once again pushed the Constitutional overhaul angle. In light of the “civilization will end tonight” threat by the POTUS, this one now represents a serious catch-22. The U.S. has unserious/unqualified people in the chain of command. This includes a military that is being purged of qualified officers where actual operational damage is being done. Once the ranks of the U.S. military are filled with loyalists (ones no longer bound by international law and the rules of engagement), is Japan’s national security really going to be safe by being reliant on a partner that is no longer allied with the rest of free world?

At the same time, I have no idea as to what level of competence exists in this new right-leaning Japanese government (except that it is much more competent than what exists in Washington D.C.). I’m not sure if the average Japanese protesting this understands what exactly is happening in the U.S. either (and how that could be problematic for Japan if they do not gain a sembelance of their own autonomy from things written back in 1945 that may no longer be in the countries best interests (that includes being self-sufficient in terms of its own military capabilities while ensuring there are constraints in place to prevent a rogue leader from pushing Japan back into imperialism again). This topic isn’t an easy one given the current geopolitical climate and backsliding of democracy in the U.S.

In relation to the yet to be felt global energy shock, post-2011, nuclear power became a touchy issue in the country; 54 power plants went offline for inspections and to address safety issues (including ones that were covered up by falsified safety records). The country has been reliant on mainly fossil fuels with natural gas (34%) and coal (32%); various forms of renewable energy (solar, wind, and hydro) make up a much lower total percentages for its energy needs and as of 2024, only 10% was from nuclear via plants that were in operation.

With 2011 and the Daiichi nuclear power plant disaster fading in most peoples memories, the government has been looking to restart some of these long idle power plants again to being those energy prices back down. The largest (Kashiwazaki-Kariwa in Niigata) was restarted in January amidst protest by local residents. Now with this conflict in the Middle East, any competent leader of a country should have a clear understanding of the incoming global energy shock that is about to occur and the domino effect it will have on everything (price increases and shortages in materials and even food supplies). At that point, I can see the resistance to restarting more nuclear power plants falling away.

This obviously does not address fuel prices for vehicle and air transportation. I believe the latter (jet fuel costs) is about to get ugly and that is going to have that domino effect on the travel/tourism industry worldwide. I don’t mean to sound like a doomer… but this is what the situation is realistically looking like while most are kind of oblivious to just how bad things can get in the next several months.

Unfortunately, many regular people aren’t even paying attention (nor really have a solid grasp on the dominoes that will fall should this situation continue for several more weeks). It can end quickly if both Israel and the United States stopped their military aggressions in the region. The Israeli government has signaled they aren’t interested in that (their objective is genocide and annexing territories including that of neighboring Lebanon). The first diplomatic talks in years between the two countries in years is likely not going to be favorable for Lebanon (since everything is being brokered through the U.S. which itself is aligned and captured by Israeli interests).

The financial markets are in complete denial as well. Like this being one of them. I’ve read some really bad takes (that some of these moves are pricing in the conflict being settled real soon). And if the HFT algorithms are being dialed in to discount more of these ridiculous statements being put out by the POTUS, then all I can write at the moment is “look out below”. China has been very calculated and measured in their responses so far. But the potential for a misstep on the U.S. side with its military blockade does represent a potential for escalation.

Chinese president Xi Jinping did put out this statement though about the “global order crumbling into disarray” because he knows the global economy is about to go through some things which China has exposure to (basically, everyone gets hurt by this war that was started by both Israel and the United States while negotiating in bad faith from the very start).

The Japanese protesting this war is a good thing because everything happening in the Middle East, will eventually affect the country as well with higher prices. And that is a major problem for a country that has been wage stagnant for decades. The government needs to see/hear that people definitely do not want Japan to become involved in any part of that conflict. I could keep going on about this topic but my self-imposed time limits (on spending too much of it on politics/geopolitical issues) keep popping up.

This is freakin hilarious… Fuji News Network (one of Japan’s news broadcasters) took the time to explain the constantly shifting narratives and timeframes by the U.S. president including why the acronym T.A.C.O. exists (not to be confused with the Japanese word for octopus, “tako” たこ).

This discussion took place in the hours prior to the April 7th ultimatum.

The panel did initially joke about “large scale octopus attacks” before the host explained it further as being a sarcastic comment. They also play some interview footage over a period of time (showing this shifting/contradictory statements) that even many Japanese considered as being idiotic.

I nearly choked when he said that Japanese government officials are finding it difficult and confusing, understanding what he is trying to get at; the reason I write this is if government officials are thinking in keigo, none of this would make sane sense. Nothing can be interpreted literally when it comes to our POTUS because his vocabulary and ability to articulate anything beyond a 6th grade level is extremely difficult for him. The man child does not have the capability for using formal business English.

The host even put together a short list of remarks with dates (like the one I have here) to serve as an illustration.

Unsurprisingly, Japan’s ruling party (right leaning conservative similar to the U.S. but just a lot more competent) defended this by stating that “it’s just his speaking style”. My response to that is uh, no, He’s a real moron and grade A idiot. Even the panel guests don’t buy it because even they understand this constant flip flopping shows weakness where from the Iranian side, makes it difficult to trust whatever the U.S. has to say.

We’ve already been unreliable partners under more competent administrations and our untrustworthiness and unseriousness is magnified with this current group (which is why I refer to it as a kakistocracy).

Similarly (as most rational folks have been), the panel guests mentioned they are concerned that things could go in the wrong direction (I mean the veiled threat of nuclear weapons is a sensitive topic for Japanese).

T.A.C.O. in the context of April 7th’s insane “tonight a civilization will die” post, is not even the proper way to look at. Chickening out is the desired result and something you don’t want to see occur again; it’s a good thing that scenario did not happen, BUT those words cannot be undone. Unfortunately, we’re dealing with an intensely insecure narcissist who cannot be seen as a loser and would choose to burn everything down and take as much people down with him (which is why the calls to remove him from office are valid). Plus there are no guardrails because he is surrounded by “yes” loyalists.

None of the mechanisms for removal will work (25th amendment isn’t going to fly past his cabinet of loyalists, nor would they get 2/3rd’s in each chamber of Congress to vote yes in the final part of the process). While articles of impeachment have been filed (by a Democrat), it’s not going to have enough votes in the House (due to the Republican majority) to actually impeach him, where it would be sent over to the Senate (in order to have a trial — and even if he were impeached in the House, there wouldn’t be the 2/3rd’s in the Senate to convict and remove).

Which is why I mentioned we could be back at that existential threat level again (the whole ceasefire unsurprisingly fell apart in just hours); where eventually he may actually threaten the unthinkable again, and maybe not cry wolf this next time.

UPDATE #2: Both the Associated Press and The Guardian have a running timeline regarding this latest T.A.C.O. None of this removes the terroristic threats which both Israel and the United States represents (both governments, especially Israel have acted in bad faith and cannot be trusted without an ironclad security agreement).

In spite of the ceasefire, a military official said a few hours ago that Israel was still conducting attacks against Iran (though Israel has since said it will honor the ceasefire in Iran but not in Lebanon). The U.S. needs to stop funding Israel and acting on its behalf going forward and elected politicians from any political affiliation in the U.S., need to be voted out if they support the government of Israel (I personally have my doubts this will happen because that institutional capture is so deep given the years of Israeli money pumped into campaign coffers).

The fact that POTUS was sold a lie of an easy victory by Netanyahu, is another additional reason (amongst many others) as to why he ought to be removed (but we know that isn’t going to happen). Bringing the world to a brink of a nuclear holocaust, is something which cannot be swept under the table (but we know this is what Republican’s in Congress will do; every single one that did not put out a statement previously condemning the president, should be considered traitors). This whole war has also only strengthened Iran’s theocratic regime to the detriment of its citizens looking for an actual free society.

The irony is also not lost on me that so many of those responsible for the divisive rhetoric that have torn apart this country, sounded like the reasonable ones once this threat of a holocaust level genocide was put out in such a deranged fashion earlier this morning. I’m not going to be one of those “purity test” folks on this; their vocal rejection and calls to have the 25th Amendment invoked (as previous close allies to the POTUS) of this insane notion of disappearing an entire civilization and it’s rich culture via an implied nuclear attack, is how you make cracks in that cycle of division.

The FOX News echo chamber is going to continue to distort/covering up the actual facts (it’s a propaganda machine which needs to be dismantled). It will take these former allies (people like Alex Jones, Candace Owens, Tucker Carlson, Marjorie Taylor Greene, etc) to voice their condemnation of such threats in order for that to infiltrate the rightwing echo chamber. None of these folks will stop with wanting to “own the libs”, but at least there is common ground with not wanting to see weapons of mass destruction being used to end a civilization.

The United States as a whole has serious institutional issues which need to be fixed; it’s broken from the very top in each branch. Far too much of it relies on the equivalent of honorable people doing a handshake. The founders who are often times given far too much credit, were NAIVE in this area. It was written to protect the system from themselves because they as privileged people who wanted to get away from being ruled by a king, knew they would be tempted to do the same without a form of self-created checks and balances.

But none of the amendments that were added, solved the root cause issue with unscrupulous individuals capturing every part of that easily abused system (which is what happens when those who abused the system in the past, were never held accountable including Nixon, Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, etc — the excuse always being “going after your political enemies” and “moving forwards to heal the country”). While this needs to be fixed, the damage has already been done with this genocidal threat by an American president. It’s a huge moral stain that we already know will attempt to be whitewashed like everything else.

While I could continue to “stream of consciously” core dump even more, I’ve already exceeded my self-imposed monthly time limits that I’ve tried to adhere to for posts of this type by several times now (it’s not something I enjoy focusing on but I also understand the significance in terms of current events and the historical record). Myself, I’m not confident this will last because POTUS is a narcissist with severe levels of cognitive decline who really needs to be removed from office. We could be right back at another nuclear threat level in two weeks.

BTW, China is the one pulling a lot of the diplomatic strings here. It’s China that many other countries that are turning to for trade and face it, stability. The U.S. has thrown away a lot of its standing because we have ignorant incompetent racist hacks making unqualified decisions. As a country, it needs to look itself in the mirror and face up to its history of being the one interfering in the business of other countries and creating conflicts in the process. Compared to these other countries, the U.S. is only 250 years old this summer. The last 8+ decades has been as a global empire and like all past empires, they eventually come to an end from arrogance, hubris, and self-created destruction.

UPDATE #1: T.A.C.O. at the last moment (which is better than the other alternative of a nuclear holocaust, global pariah, the global chaos). Iran called his bluff and reveals how weak POTUS is in the process. The “emperor has no clothes” and this boy crying wolf is damaging what little credibility the U.S. has. Two more weeks of abusive derangement is the only reprieve… will add more thoughts when I get home.

I wake up to what I would say is “5 alarm fire time” as we honestly are at the “lunatic has the nuclear codes” part of this war… and maybe TACO Tuesday may not be happening after all (we shall see). Regardless, this is a threat to an already weakened global economy (think major crash) and global security threat.

The President of the United States declared the potential genocide of the entire Iranian civilization in this vile posting of his. The following is the text in full.

A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will. However, now that we have Complete and Total Regime Change, where different, smarter, and less radicalized minds prevail, maybe something revolutionarily wonderful can happen, WHO KNOWS?

We will find out tonight, one of the most important moments in the long and complex history of the World. 47 years of extortion, corruption, and death, will finally end. God Bless the Great People of Iran!

Once again, the media in the U.S. fails to call things out with clear language (calling this out as a genocide). Iran has cut off direct communications with the U.S. after this threat. The U.S. began bombing Kharg Island shortly after. Kharg Island (satellite image above) is a key oil export hub and would require boots on the ground in order to secure those key assets. The problem of course is Iran has the literal high ground (with those mountain ranges where they can fire off rockets from) plus launch suicide boats hidden in the many caves lining that side of the strait.

That first part in his demented post (a whole civilization will die tonight) is also threatening nuclear annihilation without saying it. Who exactly are the terrorist nations in this war? Let me answer that one again; the governments of Israel and the United States (they started this). Israel has suckered the U.S. into funding most of the dirty work. So much for America first (many of us knew that was a lie except for his MAGA base).

Reminder that Israel is also terrorizing the people of Lebanon (alongside their continued genocidal campaign in Gaza). Folks in the U.S. mainstream media that label talk against Israel like this as anti-semitic, can go and shove it (because they are showing who owns them without saying it).

It doesn’t matter if it’s a tactical nuke (most of those are magnitudes more powerful than what was dropped on either Hiroshima or Nagasaki). Furthermore, Israel’s national security minister laughed on television the other day when the reporter asked about the possibility of using a neutron bomb over Iran (which leaves buildings intact). How evil must one be to even talk about something like this so on broadcast television? These are SICK people.

Let me go a step further. Exactly who are the UNCIVILIZED savages here musing about committing war crimes and wiping out an entire civilization (aka GENOCIDE) off the face of the planet? I will again answer that; the governments of Israel and the United States. Any official/person in power that fails to speak out against this threat, should not be treated kindly by history IF we don’t end up annihilating the planet first. If any nuke signature is detected, that is out on the street general strike time in the U.S. 14 million Iranians have declared they will die fighting for their country. If our military carries this out, we deserve global condemnation.

This veiled threat of using nukes is nothing to even muse about let alone, hint at possibly doing. In the U.S., this is enough for the 25th Amendment to be invoked… if we had a working Congress (which we don’t because the Republican majority has all but caved in complicity where most of them are silent in condemning this) and a cabinet that abides by the U.S. Constitution (which this regime does not). Real talk in the following:

As I mentioned before, I scan Yahoo! Finance just to see the whipsaw aggregation of syndicated articles along with the ones authored by their own staff regarding things like the Iran War (similarly with the tariff situation in the past).

This writer for example completely leaves an important part of this tariff refund buried at the end (when stating that businesses could reap millions in refunds). Who ended up actually paying for this? The consumer because businesses passed on the tariffs to their customers. That should be right at the top of this article. Who is naive enough to believe that these companies will eagerly screaming about refunding their customers (without being subjected to litigation first) let alone, lower prices back to pre-tariff levels?

It’s also hard to take syndicate providers like Business Insider seriously when they treat ROI bets like financial spectator sport (seriously, like the NCAA basketball tournament with the brackets in comparing which companies could represent the better ROI opportunity). Investing isn’t a game, but this is the underlying mindset when you end up scanning the various aggregated headlines on Yahoo! Finance.

Then all of the stuff regarding the Iran war is garbage like this: LIKELY COMPLETELY WRONG. I’m wondering if this former ambassador (James Jeffrey who is part of the Washington Institute which is a pro-Israeli government organization) even understands the level of asymmetrical warfare that exists as a result of drones (especially the Shahed drones that Iran has been having greater success with) or the fact that both Israel and the United States, began this operation the way they did (where Iran presented NO immediate threat of attacking the U.S., nor were they anywhere close to having a nuclear bomb; the now assassinated grand leader of Iran even had a fatwa against the development of nuclear weapons).

Has he taken into account that we (the U.S. alongside Israel) are the ones acting like the terrorists and that the response by Iran is a natural reaction that any sovereign country would take when being constantly assailed/being threatened with complete annihilation? Have these folks taken into account that this old worn out story (when a country is responding to the ongoing aggression where our government and complicit media, are labeling this defensive measure being taken by Iran as “increased aggression”) is being bought less and less by the public as they begin to see through this framing of propaganda by both governments (Israel and the U.S.) and their captured media.

Iran is inflicting a calculated economic toll in response. The messages in their trolling back of the U.S. spells out there is no intention of giving our incompetent regime a pass. Thus the constant T.A.C.O.ing out as Iran rejects every proposal including the most recent 45 day cease fire. Remember, the media rarely frames things the way it should be framed like when the U.S. was negotiating in bad faith when we proceeded with military action in late February (which kicked off this war). Why would anyone trust what this regime in the U.S. says when it is lie after lie after lie?

I won’t be surprised if the Felon-in-chief chickens out again on his Easter day threats now that the futures are heading south again (just another market manipulation scheme which has been happening even with the tariff situation prior). What’s obvious is how they are significantly underestimating the opposition because they believe that military might will be the thing that brings Iran to its knees (forgetting completely about Vietnam). When both Israel and the United States are stating the need to wipe Iran off the map completely, exactly who are the Nazi’s. It makes sense that the ones being threatened with extermination, are going to defend their homeland.

Again, I’m no fan of the Iranian regime/theocracy. But our American regime is not that much better and are similarly religious fanatics in terms of Christian Nationalism. Similarly, the Israeli government under Netanyahu is no better either acts more like a terrorist state in the region aided by the United States through multiple administrations (exemplifying how deep the capture of our politicians, media complex, and government is).

It doesn’t help that many of these recent aggregated articles on Yahoo! Finance (both in-house and syndicated) give too much credence to the unserious messaging coming out of the White House. Way too many publications like Barron’s, MarketWatch, Investor Business Daily, and the Wall Street Journal are also sources on there which were bought by Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp (in short, a lot of propaganda and potential astroturfing material to be aware of).

P.S. The following is from the 79 year old toddler running the U.S. How many times must the boy cry wolf before no one believes anything this moron says? (obviously Wall Street just trades on this aided by a mostly complicit media including the financial ones, all to the actual detriment of regular people and bottomline, this country).

Mar 16: “Actually, we don’t need any help at all.”

Mar 16: “I was just testing to see who’s listening to me.”

Mar 16: “If NATO doesn’t help, they will suffer something very bad.”

Mar 17: “We neither need nor want NATO’s help.”

Mar 17: “I don’t need Congressional approval to withdraw from NATO.”

Mar 18: “Our allies must cooperate in reopening the Strait of Hormuz.”

Mar 19: “US allies need to get a grip – step up and help open the Strait of Hormuz.”

Mar 20: “NATO are cowards.”

Mar 21: “The Strait of Hormuz must be protected by the countries that use it. We don’t use it, we don’t need to open it.”

Mar 22: “This is the last time. I will give Iran 48 hours. Open the strait”

Mar 22: “Iran is Dead”

Mar 23: “We had very good and productive talks with Iran.”

Mar 24: “We’re making progress.”

Mar 26: “Make a deal, or we’ll just keep blowing them away.”

Mar 27: “We don’t have to be there for NATO.”

Mar 29: Claimed talks were progressing

Mar 30: “Open the Strait of Hormuz immediately, or face devastating consequences.”

Mar 31: Claimed a deal was “very close” and that Iran would “do the right thing”

Apr 4: Said Iran must comply “immediately” or face further consequences.

Apr 5: “Open the fuckin’ Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell – JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah.”

Apr 6: Said Tuesday deadline to make a deal with Iran is final.

Again, the open letter by Iran’s president highlights just how our own clowns AND media do not understand Iran (Persia) and its long history. And no, this isn’t Iranian propaganda which is exactly how our own regime and media in the U.S. wants to paint this. Iran knows they have POTUS by the balls and knows there are larger number of American citizens who understand all of the lies that we’ve been fed over decades.

Many of us know the aggressors who initiated this war are Israel and my own country, the United States. The uncivilized savages who have called for the erasure of Iran as a country, are the heads of both of these governments.

Iran is prepared. Our arrogant regime is not and they may just decide to drive the U.S. off the cliff.

To those who celebrate, Happy Easter. I myself do not now (though as a youngster, Easter was this very simplified and innocent “holiday” with the Easter bunny like the above, making colored eggs, Easter egg hunts, and of course, Easter themed candies during a family gathering). My thinking about this changed as a I grew up. BTW, this post is going to really be one of those “stream of conscious” types of writings.

In terms of immediate family, we weren’t religious either but being 3rd/4th generation Japanese American, any semblance of a practice was unsurprisingly towards Buddhism. For example, we’d attend Obon services, Bon dances, Hatsumode, and most memorial services were Buddhist. Myself, I’ve written sparingly about being pretty much “irreligious” where I view things in a more spiritual manner (which borrows from the various philosophies but not adhering to any single one).

As I grew older, I learned my dads side was mainly Soto Zen Buddhism (aka Soto Mission) and my moms side was Jodo Shinshu Buddhism (aka Hongwan-ji). Both paternal and maternal grandparents had a butsudan; my parents never did buy one but I am now taking care of the butsudan (a small/medium sized one which is manageable) that previously belonged to my paternal grandparents which my father was originally taking care of (before being placed into a foster care home).

Another thing as I grew older was learning about this Easter tradition which mainly my maternal grandparents celebrated because they enjoyed having the family get together where there would be large amounts of food plus an egg hunt for us grandchildren. There was never any religious aspect to it; it was all very much in that innocent narrow vein that we’d grown up with. As most of us grand kids got older (outgrowing the egg coloring/hunts), the family went out to a Sunday brunch/buffet. I probably learned and really began to understand its religious backgrounds probably beginning in middle school.

During my first semester in college, I took religion 101 (or whatever it was called), and that was one of the most confounding classes I ever took. The good thing is it exposed me to a lot of religious beliefs/practices globally. But it turned into a confusing mess when getting into the details in what was a necessary time-limited need to also gloss over large parts of it during lectures. The end result is the class left me uninterested to the point where just reading the required text book and going over the lecture notes, left me feeling that a lot it was open to interpretation (but that for exam sakes, you needed to know certain obscure details). I recall getting a “D” grade in that class because I didn’t even bother studying for most of the exams (I should’ve actually withdrawn but it filled an elective credit).

It also highlighted why I think and look at things the way that I do (more so going forward). This was especially true of religions that attempted to impose their line of thinking on you. Years later in 1999, George Carlin’s (who passed away in 2008) expletive filled monologue really put it into perspective in this humorous but equally blunt philosophical way. But from the point of view of those who might be deeply involved in certain religions, it is often times sacrilegious when someone speaks/writes their opinions about this.

And I know this particular post will offend some folks who will disagree with this. I also know some will automatically go to the “you need saving and you will burn in hell for not being a believer” line which again, proves the point of what Carlin said early on. It’s why the usual advice is to not talk about politics and religion because of how polarizing those subjects can be (especially in this crazy timeline we live in).

For the longest time, I did just that (keep my mouth shut). But now, I am also at this point in my life now where I literally do not give a shit about writing what I think about this stuff. If the response is “brimstone hellfire will reign on me and that I need to be saved”, that speaks more about the deeply embedded prejudice in that person and not me. As the saying goes, look in the mirror when spouting that kind of stuff out.

I do know people in real life who disagree with my views on this. But we’re able to have mature/reasonable discussions about this and just agree to disagree. My sister is one of those; she became a Christian (the good old school type not to be confused with the Christian Nationalist type) and I respect her reasons (because having that faith helped her during a rough period in her personal life during the same period when covid was happening and our mom was in hospice care). At the same time, some of the crazy things happening in the world, are things that had I brought up to her before, she would’ve thought I was crazy.

Myself, I’ve long been in the “most everything that we humans know is a human created abstraction” line of thought (which really helps when dealing with the unknown because face it, while our science and knowledge level is great, there are also so many things we do not know because we’re limited by the abstractions we created to define the constraints within a three dimensional universe that we’ve also created abstract concepts for to explain it). Science equally has its limits there where in one simple example, analogies need to be used to describe what the 4th dimension may be like.

Religion is one of those human created abstractions that has been abused to explain away the unknown. What I don’t appreciate is being dismissed in that manner; it’s a condescending lack of respect and intolerance for others who have a different belief system and a different faith (and it is normally one religion which has individuals that consistently warps it in order to engage in that sort of preaching).

I also know people who used to be deeply religious (and most of these folks were previously of some Christian faith), and ended up having this epiphany that lifted the veil. It’s probably even more profound for those who grew up this way (where that level of indoctrination from early childhood, makes it seem all normal — that is until they expanded their world view by leaving that small corner). I’m not saying Christianity is bad. I’m saying that people with ulterior motives have long twisted it into these alternative forms in order to justify their actions in the name of religion.

Some early form of religious indoctrination has long been imposed on us from an early age. I was in elementary school during a time when the daily ritual once the school bell rang to start class, was having to recite the “Pledge of Allegiance” (standing up, right hand over heart, and facing the American flag).

This also highlights the hypocrisy of this thing we have in the U.S. called the separation of church and state. Why? Because that allegiance pledge recital has the words “one nation, under god”). Our currency is emblazoned with the motto, “In God We Trust”. And in some areas of the country, oath taking when it comes to matters of civic duty, requires the placing of the right hand on a bible while reciting back the oath (where some add “so help me God” at the end).

Let me go one step further… American propaganda is a real thing (which more are at least waking up and getting wise to). I actually have an article still in draft form about this that I need to wrap up and post (there’s actually a lot of material I have long had in draft form for years but have to go back and edit because well, my “stream of conscious” style was definitely far more exhaustive and long running in the prior decade). But I also believe it is important to address that.

I’ve learned over time that empathy has limits and that wasting energy on those who are deeply indoctrinated into a certain belief (where they find it highly offensive that if you do not believe in a god, in Jesus Christ, in some supreme being, that you will suffer this wrath while your soul burns when you die) is just that, wasted energy. With less than peaceful thinking like that, it is unsurprising we have global conflicts that uses religion as a tool to stoke those tensions (and this is the case in the U.S. with the Christian Nationalists who are running the country who are also trying to impose their views on the rest of us while ignoring the fact that we have this thing called “freedom of religion”).

Which brings me back to Easter Sunday. The Pope put out something which is what any rational person would call reasonable and morally correct regardless of their religious beliefs. “Pope Leo urged global leaders to end the conflicts raging across the world and abandon any schemes for power, conquest or domination.” The pope (the first from the U.S.) has emerged as an outspoken critic of the Iran war and has chosen to use more forceful words to state that people “are growing accustomed to violence, resigning ourselves to it, and becoming indifferent”.

As I’ve noted before, I am no supporter of the theocratic Iranian regime. But there is this agreed upon thing called international law with how to conduct such operations. If some hostile force was sending rockets into any territory in the United States, how would we feel? Would we not defend ourselves in the same way that Iran is doing? Instead, any retaliation by Iran is characterized as an aggression (our now useless/complicit media is very much to blame for performing this same narrative). It’s absolute hypocrisy that more people are beginning to call out.

In direct contrast from Pope Leo’s message, the POTUS (aka Pedophile of the United States) chose Easter Sunday to put out another unhinged profanity laced rant that is unbecoming of any political official that is the head of state. Israel and the U.S. are the ones acting like terrorists while openly committing war crimes. The sycophants (including so called religious leaders like Franklin Graham) unsurprisingly praised their dear leader as being a “true man of God”.

Excuse me while I throw up at the utter hypocrisy these gaslighting assholes represent. The above is unbecoming of what Easter is supposed to represent for Christians. But these same clowns label others who are agnostic and side with what George Carlin said on this (self included) as being the one who will burn in hell. And if they even bring up Carlin’s language, well look at the above and all of the rest of the previous hateful garbage their “dear” convicted felon child molesting sexual abusing leader has said in the past. Give me a break you hypocritical shit heads.

This also highlights the level of ignorance of those in our own regime in the U.S.; they DON’T understand Iran in any meaningful capacity. They are just racist supremacists in every way imaginable. The Iranian presidents open letter to the citizens of the U.S. highlights the sort of articulate explanation that our own government is incapable of. Some of us already knew this having interacted with Iranian natives before. Underestimating your opposition (which our own government is guilty of) is the worst thing you can do; this kind of rhetoric will only serve to backfire against the United States where if they put boots on the ground, it is not going to be pretty (I went on a long tangent about this in this other post, but will quote it below) and likely turn out worse than Vietnam.

The other irony is the national security of the United States; it’s being run by criminals who are the national security threat as I write this (aka, the national security threat exists on the inside with the people in charge of the key government institutions). China can just sit back and watch this regime in the U.S. do itself in. What’s going on in the middle east similarly has both the governments of Israel and the United States, acting like terrorists (that entire situation with Iran is having global economic ramifications).

Gas here is just under $5/gallon ($1.32/liter) while in parts of California (Los Angeles and San Francisco), it’s already close to/over $6/gallon ($1.60/liter). We just got notification here that electricity bills will be going up by 20-30% beginning this month. And we’re still lucky. In late February, the Philippines declared a national emergency regarding their energy crisis that is a result of the Iran war (caused again by Israel and the United States).

For those who aren’t paying attention to any of this, the domino effect is only beginning. Most have no clue what is potentially coming. The world hasn’t yet felt the effects of fertilizer scarcity (as a result of the conflict; urea and ammonia shipments from the region are being impacted by the closure of the Strait of Hormuz). Translation: this will impact farming and thus food supplies (shortages plus price increases).

Bringing this back to AI; all of those data centers require HUGE amounts of energy for the ones that aren’t being powered by renewables… guess what this Iran war is doing to energy prices globally? The compute cost for AI is only going to increase. Who is going to pay for that? A lot more consumers are going to get pinched even further. What about the AI market bubble I’ve mentioned many times before? Whenever that blows up, that represents TRILLIONS of dollars (making up peoples savings, retirement, etc). Some of us have been through this “house of cards” bullshit before.

This is a potential global disaster waiting to happen (caused by these war criminals running Israel and the United States with this war they created in the middle east). I’ll be transparent as I’ve always been. I just converted $50,000 cash into gold this past week (when the spot price took a dump off the $5k high) and will be done with another this week (I may also decide to lower my exit price on the open sell orders I have on around 15K shares of Apple in order to just hedge that cash into gold). I have no idea where inflation is headed to though

Why am I writing this as part of this AI cybersecurity incident? Because should the U.S. military put boots on the ground in Iran, expect the global economy to take a massive dump/collapse (taking that AI bubble and global equity markets down with it), expect the U.S. to be labeled as a global pariah, and expect the USD to lose its status as the global reserve currency (which the PayPal mafia of Thiel, Musk, and Sacks want in order to push crypto over another centralized fiat currency).

Countries that own massive amounts of U.S. debt (treasuries) like China and Japan; do you believe they will hang on to that? The U.S. will be up the shit creek should both countries dump those (the USD will plummet and guess what that will do to markets globally since so many things are arbitraged against the USD). Guess how much of the US population will be left in ruins when the value of the USD tanks. Businesses and Wall Street have been playing with fire by treating the POTUS/regime like it was a normal thing (making market bets like this was all a game).

His deranged speech to the nation the other evening plus his threat to NATO allies (of pulling out of that alliance) is just the tip of the global chaos these morons are potentially about to cause. And the DUI hire of a defense secretary war criminal purging more top generals (who probably advised against a ground invasion), is a potentially huge tell that these buffoons might just do it. BTW, some of the things they want to do would be war crimes under the Geneva Convention.

The rest of the world should pull up a seat to get this front row view of a global hegemony and empire potentially collapsing right in front of their eyes. This isn’t even hyperbole either because various countries are already feeling the strain from this. The U.S. Congress could put a stop to this if the Republican majority weren’t so ok with violating their oath of office and allowing their dear leader to steer the country off of a cliff. Myself, I’m partly prepared and just included my monthly vent (about this idiocracy) in this post. I’m hoping this scenario does not play out/would like to be completely wrong about this.

Oh but Mura, this is unpatriotic talk. You know what I respond to that? Go fuck yourself all the way to the hell that you believe of. Speaking truth to power is not unpatriotic. Simply going along with what is not ethically and morally the right thing to do and being lied to blindly by those in positions of power and not saying anything, is unpatriotic. Because just giving in and not using any critical thinking skills makes you just a tool, a sheep, a willing useful idiot that is blind to the psychological manipulation that has long been taking place not only in the United States, but in every single country on this planet.

Or make that DUAL incidents which occurred this week that exposed a ton of customer data AND part of the source code for Claude at Anthropic (this human error source code leak at Anthropic is FUBAR level stuff).

The data breach (from malicious code that was inserted into the open source LiteLLM project) exposed customer data at Mercor (which includes Meta, OpenAI and Anthropic). This is data that represents a large amount of training data (which of course is largely copyrighted material they did not get the proper permissions for) from every major lab (worth billions of dollars) that is now easily accessible to rivals in China, creating a national security problem in the process. Karma much?

The accidental source code leak at Anthropic is similarly part tragic, and part karma (because the data ingested for those LLM’s are harvested freely; some of that data is copyrighted works/other peoples intellectual property which they never gave permission to be used or weren’t provided any sort of renumeration). Which is where irony of the DMCA takedowns comes into play including the mentioned python rewrite (clean reverse engineering) that a Korean developer did.

As many of us who have been on the internet from even those days before it became commercialized when it was very limited (in my case, I had access while in college), what goes on the internet, stays on the internet once it is publicly on it. Plus there are various “safe harbor” data centers where the DMCA means nothing. Good luck trying to get this stuff off of Yandex or Baidu Wangpan (aka Baidu Netdisk). As usual, skip past the following tangent part if you don’t want to read an off topic rant…

Tangent…

The other irony is the national security of the United States; it’s being run by criminals who are the national security threat as I write this (aka, the national security threat exists on the inside with the people in charge of the key government institutions). China can just sit back and watch this regime in the U.S. do itself in.

End tangent…

In the end, I want to see how the AI industry hypesters are going to try to will these incidents away given the massive implications this has on the cybersecurity of that entire industry. I do realize the vast majority of people out there don’t care about these kind of things (because if most gave an actual shit, they’d be leaving social media platforms in droves and would be far more careful with HOW they use tools like AI).

UPDATE: I know I have said it before, but we have incompetent buffoons in charge from the POTUS (that’s Pedophile of the United States), to the DUI defense secretary (Hegseth), to the secretary of state (Rubio), to the joint chiefs and any of the unqualified sycophant Christo-fascist/nationalist loyalist commanders who told service members this was “all parts of God’s plans”.

Over 100 have filed complaints since this is unbecoming of any commanding officer (separation of church and state and that part of the Constitution regarding freedom of religion). This little anecdote highlights how the qualified officers have been purged and replaced by lunatic loyalists who are more than eager to follow illegal orders. Again, no sugarcoating should be done… these folks engaging in carrying out these illegal orders are war criminals.

The UN also released a statement regarding the bombing of a girls primary school located in southern Iran in Minab where over 150 school girls and teachers perished (over a hundred more are wounded) stating this “constituted a grave violation of humanitarian law”. This whole operation by Israel and the United States is also a violation of international law and the rules of engagement. This is also what happens when unqualified incompetent hacks that have been elevated to positions of power in this U.S. regime, are calling the shots.

Furthermore, the incompetence of the U.S. State Department not having any plan, has also left American’s in the region who have been told to evacuate, that the U.S. government may not be able to offer them any assistance. Remember that Musk and DOGE gutted the career serving part of the state department last year (and its budget reduced by the regime). Are people still willing to not seriously considering a mass general strike and shutting everything down in the U.S?

The action in Venezuela was the first and this one against Iran is another (again specifically about regime change). Pentagon officials speaking on the condition of anonymity confirmed there was no intelligence of an imminent threat by Iran against either Israel or the U.S. Israel (Netanyahu) has long wanted the U.S. assistance with bombing Iran; their dirty money is in the campaign coffers of many of our politicians (doesn’t matter which party). The Pedophile of the U.S. (POTUS) therefore authorized this action without the necessary Congressional approval. Six American service members are now also dead because of him.

The White House talking point to GOP loyalists is that this isn’t war; it’s a major combat operation called “Operation Epic Fury”… this shows how dumb they believe the public is and this is what happens when incompetents are in charge. Every single one of them are proving themselves to be war criminals.

While the elimination of the Ayatollah Khamenei is a good thing for the long suffering Iranian people (because his cruel regime oppressed the Iranian people and did pose a threat to the rest of the free world), there was also no legal justification for doing it this way (which is now pulling more countries into this regional conflict). Iran performing these retaliatory strikes at targets where U.S. military bases are located is an expected one when Israel and the U.S. jointly struck Iran without initial provocation. And the useless media is covering this conflict horribly in that regards (unsurprising).

This also now gives ANY nation (rogue or otherwise) justification for attempting to decapitate the leadership of a country they may not like. Our own regime is proving they aren’t any better as they turn the U.S. into a fascist dictatorship. Mango Mussolini here in the U.S. stopped abiding by the Constitution at the start of his 2nd term where our own regime has been trying to crackdown on dissent (murdering innocent people they labeled as domestic terrorists to justify those extrajudicial executions), rounding up people of color without due process and incarcerating them in detention facilities/concentration camps in a cruel/inhumane manner. Hypocrisy much?

The three F-15 Strike Eagles that went down in Kuwait and is being attributed to “friendly fire” by likely unqualified loyalists inside of central command… does anyone really believe that? At least $300 million in hardware went down (the six pilots were able to eject safely). But the tax payer money being burned up for this (versus helping actual American’s at home, is again contradictory to what these liars campaigned on). And that other Kremlin asset Tulsi Gabbard (DNI) had the nerve to constantly preach about ending “forever wars” and “regime change” (once again, highlighting that it is all projection with these traitors).

Additionally, the illusion that members of the military would not follow illegal orders and would obey their oath to the Constitution, should now be gone (because these are two separate actions where this has now happened, did so without the appropriate Congressional authorization; any member who took part in the Venezuelan and this Iran combat operation should face war crimes). This is yet another once proud institution of this country that I have sadly lost respect for (staining the reputation of veterans who served honorably prior to this).

The GOP controlled Congress is again allowing this to happen (only a few Republican’s like Representative Massie are standing up for the actual Constitution while the larger majority are proving themselves complicit to the willful destruction of the U.S. as a democratic republic). If the capture of most every single critical institution weren’t complete, this entire U.S. regime would be facing treason charges. Israel with the complicit U.S. regime’s help, stoked this conflict (trying to pin Iran’s retaliation, as if it were the initial provocation); a regional conflict that has the potential for spiraling out of control (especially considering the incompetence from the commander in chief, to the secretary of defense/war, to the unqualified idiots now comprising the joint chiefs).

The following unpacks it more to the point compared to any of the major news networks in the U.S. (which are effectively useless and/or state run media style lapdogs that are just passing along propaganda). Listening to former intelligence officers and/or going to media sources outside the U.S., is the only way to get the actual facts as to what is happening.

And no, everyone should have the ability to multitask and not let this detract from the Epstein Files (which this regime is hell bent on covering up). Anyway, my monthly rant time was used up once again by this kakistocracy.

P.S. we need more of NATO to do this (start showing the U.S. out the door and maybe permanently; it’s like having the enemy on your own soil): Spain barred the use of the jointly operated bases they run because those bases still remain under Spanish sovereignty and stressed they will not be used for operations outside previously agreed-upon terms or contrary to the United Nations Charter.
