All this is going to represent is another escalation and any offramp that an increasingly “desperate behind the scenes” POTUS wants, is just being dug deeper into the hole he has already dug himself in; the problem is he wants to look like the strong winner in getting out of this conflict started by his order (along with Israel), while continually underestimating the Iranian’s in the process. He also once again threatened war crimes by stating the U.S. would “knock out every single power plant, and every single bridge in Iran”.

The unseriousness on the U.S. side (sending unqualified negotiators like Kushner and Witkoff again to talks that seem unlikely to happen unless Iran changes its mind) continues to drag what little remaining reputation this American regime has.
