And as per my previous post, I am officially divested from Facebook at $230 per share (the profits will be earmarked for donation to worthy causes in the future). Some Facebook employees are also protesting the inaction by company executives with their allowing of pertinent postings from politicians to go unchecked when it comes to facts (this leads to a lot of unsubstantiated claims being posted on social media including by many bad actors who are looking to sow dissent and to undermine democracy in the US).
The source of this stance is from CEO Mark Zuckerberg himself since he does not believe in moderating inflammatory or even provable false postings. And that is a different sort of lack of corporate leadership from the company like Facebook which has the sort of worldwide reach that it has where corporations have social, moral, and ethical responsibilities; and Zuckerberg and other company executives are failing in that regards.
Given the current state of affairs, I could not in good conscience continue being invested in the company.
