The fail is it’s supposed to be Windows 10. The other fail is they probably got it mixed up with Apple’s iOS… but Apple uses a small “i” and not a “I” because IOS refers to Cisco’s Internet Operating System (IOS powers Cisco routers and switches); and yes, Apple did come to a licensing agreement with Cisco.
It’s also a fail because this shows even major news organizations can pump out erroneous information attempting to use newer technology, but not applying the same standards which they hold their traditional reporting to (double checking facts and confirming them against multiple sources).
While the above is benign, the fact that an erroneous headline like this can be easily re-tweeted, is the biggest problem with NOT getting that lead in correct. It’s also why I don’t trust a lot of what is in the media to begin with.
With that said, a lot of the comments are funny. “Never go full CBS” indeed.
