How Low Can AAPL Go?

I personally have no clue on this one.  Market fundamentals do not really matter right now because the sentiment is all over the place.  All I’ve been telling people is expect things to get really bad (once prices start spiralling higher and the USD undergoes weakening where it’s buying power is severely eroded).  I’m down 7-digits USD across all of my brokerage accounts now, and I am ok because it’s insignificant percentage wise compared to the overall gains.

My tolerance for risk hasn’t changed much since the 2000 dot com bubble crash (I personally want to see an actual blowout to be honest).  While I initially had no plans to buy/trade this market, when the stock was at $230 not too long ago, I had a stink bid in at $195.  I changed that to $175 prior to April 1st to get ahead of the actual tariffs going into effect.  When the market sold off and I saw AAPL had breached the $195, I changed that $175 limit order to $150.  The stock as of this evening in after hours trading dropped below $170.  Given the 104% tariffs going into effect on China on April 9th, I expect another round of sell offs of the stock; it is crashing through various support levels now with ease (and if there are folks with stop losses in this area, I am pretty sure the algorithm will try to take those positions out during this round of bad market news).  Myself, I don’t want to catch the falling knife, but it’s beginning to look more tempting.

With that said, I did change my $150 limit order stink bid down to $125.  If however the pre-market futures look really bad (like another 3-5% out of the gate), I may drop this stink bid further (I know that short interest is going to put pressure on things with this 104% tariff insanity).  I hope Tim Cook is “happy” with his attempt to try and make nice with these fascists (donating $1 million to the inauguration, attending it, and deciding to start advertising again on Twitter/X).

Final note: Any AAPL I buy from this tariff related news are going to be short term plays (am just going to play the game that is going on right now).  I stopped accumulating anything for a few years now and don’t really want to get back into that.  The usual disclaimers apply; none of this is financial advice.  How anyone plays this market is going to depend on your own situation and tolerance to risk.
