This is what every single news article and report should be bluntly stating. The U.S. does not have a competent and law abiding administration running the country; it’s a criminal/fascist regime run by a convicted felon troll who continues consolidating power/being a global threat (and has turned the United States into a global pariah) while the feckless legislative branch (controlled by Republicans along with complicit Democrats) looks the other way along with the useless media that has devolved into a less competent version of North Korea’s Korean Central Television (KCTV); one that lacks anyone with the on-air personna of Ri Chun-hee
Original AP News article. The Pearl Harbor reference was in extremely bad taste (what do you expect from a troll that has the mental capacity of a 3 year old). Takaichi had that look on her face as soon as Pearl Harbor came out of the trolls mouth (and the raised eyes as she looked back at her interpreter told you what was spinning through her brain). She may be a hardliner, but she isn’t stupid like the felon she is sitting next to. Rant: the fact that politicians from other countries like Takaichi treat this kakistocratic regime with any legitimacy, speaks volumes as to how broken politics is globally. It’s why I despise politics and politicians (many of whom are self-serving assholes). Being diplomatic only works if the other party has those same values.
Japan attempting to placate this man baby toddler is a mistake IMHO because it amounts to negotiating with an international terrorist organization (aka the criminal enterprise led by a convicted mob boss felon that has wholly captured the U.S. Federal Government). If this truth offends anyone who sides with what this regime in the U.S. is doing, this blog isn’t for you. I’ll go even further…
Japan post-WWII made a mistake IMHO by being continually subservient to the United States for far too long (Okinawan’s have long had the proper stance of wanting the U.S. military off the island completely); my fathers side is from Okinawa and I eventually reached a point of agreeing with the former late governor Onaga Takeshi who pushed strongly against having the Futenma air base relocated to a lesser populated part of the island, and instead having it closed completely.
While the base provides civilian employment opportunities, it also brings noise pollution along with occupying large amounts of prime land (which these Okinawan people could better utilize for themselves). The occasional bad conduct of U.S. military personnel doesn’t help matters (it’s a small minority, but it shouldn’t be happening at all).
While the pacifist constitution (drafted by the United States after Japan officially surrendered in 1945) does have honorable intentions, Japan is still its own sovereign nation and should’ve long ago, began revising that constitution to ensure they could be properly self-sufficient and in full control when it came to their own armed forces. Now they are at the mercy of having to rely on a country that is becoming this global pariah that has no issues with violating international law and committing its own human rights violations against its own citizens. You also don’t deal with bullies by kissing their ass.
I’ve mentioned it many times; I despise even having to write about politics (I’ve long been apolitical and identify as neither Democrat or Republican, liberal or conservative, left or right). These are just divisive labels. But I refuse to remain silent about wrongdoings by my own country and the people leading it because that is unacceptable (silence equals complicity).
