Am just going to link to MacRumor’s WWDC 2024 recap given the sheer number of update/changes that are happening across all of the major operating environments (with the most relevant ones being iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 along with macOS 15 Sequoia).
Apple Intelligence (Apple’s AI initiative) is something that will be rolling out in the developer and public betas a little later, and for Sequoia, will require a Mac with Apple Silicon. I previously wrote that I had no plans to purchase an Apple Silicon based Mac until at least M4, but I changed my mind with Apple Intelligence; I purchased a MacBook Pro with an M3 Pro since I am interested in seeing how it all functions.
This years “Platforms State of the Union” video does a more developer focused macro-overview for some of the main things presented in the keynote.
