Protests against the regime of Felon47 and Elon Musk are now slated in over a thousand locations across the U.S. and in a few cities in other countries beginning around noon local time on April 5th (today as of this pre-scheduled posting) in those cities/towns. The main mass mobilization however is in Washington, D.C. near the Washington Monument.
While there is a mailing list sign up (which is where the 400,000 comes from), it remains to be seen how accurate this is since some may naturally sign up for the information while others like myself, know that providing such information (e-mail address, zip code, etc) is not what you want to be doing when taking part in protests like this (a mistake by the various organizers).
This article from a few days ago has one of the guest speakers for the D.C. estimating around 12,500 protestors to attend the D.C. rally. While this would represent a marked improvement over recent protests by the 50501 Movement, this would be a pretty dismal sized crowd (IMHO) in the nation’s capital for something that has been planned since at least February. Considering the chaos that has been unleashed nearly nonstop since January 20th (chaos that will affect most American’s), you’d expect a lot more folks to be out using their rights (while we still have them) to express their discontent. I guess we will see what transpires.
Yes, I am taking as much precautions as necessary including no electronic devices that have a MAC hardware address (before and after the protest) so as to not leave any electronic trail. Hopefully there is a good aggregate turnout in the mid six digit range across the country. And kudos to the ones organizing rallies in other countries.
