Stories about Jobs resignation reads like an obituary…

After spending some time reading stories about Steve Jobs resigning as
CEO of Apple, If I didn’t know any better, I would have thought I was
reading his obituary rather than his resignation. What is worse are the
stories and reports which again bring up the dead horse beaten
question, “is there life for Apple without Steve Jobs?” Uhm, hello….
the man has stepped down as CEO. As a matter of fact, this is
only a formality for something which took place when Tim Cook became
interim CEO when Jobs announced he was taking this most recent medical
leave. As mentioned in my previous post, many suspected Jobs would not
return based on the wording of his e-mail when he took this most recent
leave.

The general media continues to reveal what simpletons they are
when they focus on questions like the above. It would actually do them
well to watch and listen to Jobs’ commencement speech at Stanford
back in 2005. That provides some insight into Jobs’ thought processes,
and his 3rd story is the most poignant as to why Jobs tends to go his
own way. That thought process and DNA is now built into Apple. The
company (at least its engineering side) acts like it is a startup and
that culture is thoroughly ingrained/entrenched and would take quite
awhile to change.
